The necessity of mastering the production of grinding balls of 30 mm in diameter was caused by market trends and increasing of the consumer’s interest in finding of alternative products with improved operation properties instead of ordinarily utilized domestic grinding media of poor quality or expensive foreign grinding balls.

The efficiency of utilizing of 30 mm grinding balls instead of 40 mm and iron cylinders is proven by current trends in the cement and mining industries consider its technological parameters.

Thus, to date successfully completed the replacement of cast iron cylinders to small-diameter balls at cement plant OJSC “Nikolaevcement”. OJSC “Ujniy ore mining and processing enterprise” (UOMPE) on the 3rd stage of grinding switched to utilizing of grinding balls with diameter 30 and 40mm, while the previously applied only 40mm balls.

Due to the high surface hardness (62-65 HRC) and also high volumetric hardness (57-62 HRC) grinding balls “Energosteel” have high indices of shock and wear resistance and preserve its shape during exploitation. These quality parameters have been achieved through a thoroughly selected chemical composition of steel and conditions of thermal processing steel balls.

Currently the plant produces a full assortment of grinding balls with diameter from 30 to 100 mm.
